Wow, it's November already and I haven't updated since August, bad bad blogger here!

Lots has been happening in the home life, racing season is upon us again so we saddle up for another 6 months of traveling around the state with good friends for the occasional squirt in the dirt, and of course the social life that comes along with it!

The kids are in the last term of school for the year, the big one is finalising VCE subjects, (how did that happen!) the middle one is headed into that dreaded Year 9 and trying to decide what she wants to do as a career, and the baby has taken to school life like a duck to water. He has become quite a proficient reader and will read anything and everything! The middle one is 1 year into her orthodontic treatment and the change in her teeth is amazing, the whole shape of her face has changed and we can see the progress. She has handled it well, poor chicken has a mouth full of metal and will have for another 2 years.

I had entered the Centro smile competition at our local centre this year and was lucky enough to be voted the center's winner! I picked up a pretty cool Nikon Coolpix P&S camera, which is great because I don't have to lug around the 50D for some quick snaps now! I haven't had a compact camera for over 4 years! The screen is huge, bigger than the 50's screen. :)

We had a thunderstorm here the other night, it went for nearly 2 hours. So out came the tripod, camera and remote in the hope for that elusive bolt of lightning. I managed to get a couple, this is one of the best I got!

Ahhhh Tasmania!

I am back into the swing of things after a wonderful girls weekend away in Tasmania. We stayed at a beautiful retreat called Black Rock Retreat in Howth. The views are amazing, and the house is set up so that you can have the view from anywhere in the house. The weather wasn't so good but when you are atop a mountain away from you man and kids it just doesn't seem that bad, lol. :) I can highly recommend it, Leonie was a fantastic host! www.blackrockretreat.com.au

Adam Brand

Some of you may be aware that I am a huge fan of Adam Brand, (Troy thinks I'm a stalker, lol) apart from being cute and making great music he is fantastic to see live and a real funny guy. So lucky for me he is currently on dancing with the stars, unfortunately he is not that great of a dancer! (But he has loads of potential.....!) Lame old Todd Mc Kenny with  a try hard beard has bagged him big time which is really unfair. He wasn't anywhere near as bad as he made out. Anyway, for me to get my weekly Adam Brand fix he needs to stay in the show! Vote for Adam on 1902 55 77 11 or SMS 'Adam' to 19 17 77. Mustang Terry

This is Terry's pride and joy, and what a gorgeous machine she is. She sounds tough, goes tough and looks pretty allright! Makes me miss my old XY....... tell me again why we have a racecar??

In the 5 minutes of sunshine last weekend I managed to capture this gorgeous little princess before she got too muddy!

Cold, wet, miserable Melbourne!

The long weekend just gone was spent at Corowa where it was cold and raining. Poor Tyler was unwell most of the weekend so a lot of our time was spent at the unit we were staying in. We had some wonderful company and got to see a little bit of racing between the showers. So I have just a couple of pics to share. :)

Autumn is here!

Lovely early sunsets, cold mornings, sunny afternoons, leaves falling and fantastic earthy colours are what autumn is about.

Just a quick update to let you know that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth! I have been very busy again, taking lots of photos but none for me, lol. :) The kids have settled in well at school and the baby has become Mr Independant in Prep and has made lots of new friends and is enjoying the learning experience. Until next time I am adding a couple of my favourite pics from the summer just gone. :)

Updates!

Once again I would like to thank everyone that voted for my Focus on Frankston entry. I am very proud and excited to announce that I was chosen as the Major Prize Winner! I have known for a few weeks, and it still hasn't sunk in. A big thank you to Renae for allowing the image of Master B and Miss S to be entered, they are the most gorgeous photogenic children and I just have a ball whenever I see them!

I must say I think some of this photography stuff has rubbed off on my husband. He was in the starters boat for the offshore boat racing at Williamstown today. He hijacked my camera and has done a fantastic job with some great shots of the boats in action. And because I haven't done much of my own photography in the last few weeks I will show off one of his!

Focus on Frankston voting comp.

Just a quick post to thank everyone that has voted for my photo in the Focus on Frankston photo competition. The gorgeous image of Blake and Sienna has made it to the top 30, the winners will be announced on the 13th of February. :) It's very exciting, and I am very happy to have made it this far! And while I am here I will post an old photo that I found and really like. I think it's not a bad idea to revisit old photo's, this one is from over two years ago!

More photo a day stuff.

I am really enjoying photo a day. I get all worked up thinking about the photo I want to take and then it works out ok. I have found a lovely little spot at the end of the street that has beautiful evening sun and I just keep heading back there. Anyway, here is one of Tyler. We went to Korrumburra on the weekend and found a gorgeous little spot just near Loch, the image was taken on a little pedestrian suspension bridge which Tyler wasn't to sure about when all of us were on it! 

And I forgot to add my favourite so far in Photo a day! 

Very slack blogger checking in! It's been nearly two months since I updated anything, and I have no excuse. Well, christmas happened which takes up a lot of time and that was about it!

Anyway, it's January and that means Photo a day, so I will be updating my favourites as the month progresses. I am also very pleased that am image from a recent session has been chosen as a finalist in the Franskton Council 'Focus on Franskston' photo competition.
